Browsing the site
This site sets no cookies, and nothing here follows you to other websites. Fonts and images are served from this site itself, not from third parties.
I do count visits, using Vercel Web Analytics, which runs on this site's own domain. For each page view it records the page, the address you arrived from, your approximate location from your country down to your city, and your browser, operating system and device type. No cookies are used and no personal details are stored. To count returning visits within a day, Vercel makes a coded value out of the request, which is discarded after 24 hours and cannot be traced back to you. I see counts only, never individual people. See Vercel's notice on analytics privacy.
Your browser keeps one small note on your own device for the length of your visit: whether you have already seen the opening animation. It is not sent anywhere, and it is gone when you close the tab.
The site is hosted by Vercel, whose servers keep standard technical logs, such as IP addresses, to run and secure the service.
The contact form
When you send an enquiry, I receive your name, email address, what you are working on, your budget range, your brief and any link or files you add. I use them only to reply to you and to discuss the project. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
Your message is delivered by email through Resend to my inbox, which is hosted by Google, and a copy goes back to you. Files you attach are uploaded to private storage at Vercel, and the download links in my email stop working after 30 days.
To keep automated spam out, the form is checked by Cloudflare Turnstile. On the Start page only, it loads from Cloudflare and looks at signals from your browser and your IP address to tell a person from a script. See Cloudflare's Turnstile privacy notice.
Email sent to daniel@danielmarkes.com is forwarded to my inbox by Cloudflare.

How long it is kept
Enquiries are kept for as long as they are needed to handle your request and any project that follows. Files are deleted once they are no longer needed.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete what I hold about you, or object to how it is used, by emailing me. You can also complain to the Czech data protection authority, the Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů (Office for Personal Data Protection).
